Zynaptiq UNVEIL is a de-reverberation plug-in that removes or boosts reverb in already-mixed recordings, rescuing dialogue and music captured in bad spaces.
Reverb used to be permanent: once a voice was recorded in a boomy hall, no tool could dry it out. UNVEIL changed that with Zynaptiq’s MAP (Mixed-Signal Audio Processing) technology, an AI-based de-mixing approach that separates a signal into its direct and reverberant components in real time, even from a mono source. You can attenuate the reverb to make location dialogue intelligible, or boost it for creative space effects.
Beyond de-reverb, UNVEIL’s Focus control lets you bring perceptually important elements forward or push clutter back, effectively re-balancing a mix without the multitracks. It is a fixture in film post-production, broadcast, and forensic audio, and runs as VST, AU, and AAX on macOS and Windows.
UNVEIL’s underlying technology has a serious pedigree: Zynaptiq’s de-mixing research is also used in forensic and intelligence audio work, and the plug-in’s algorithms run with low enough latency for real-time monitoring during recording. Subtle use can also tighten live music recordings and reduce mud in dense mixes, not just repair dialogue shot in echoing locations.
UNVEIL costs USD 269 (EUR 279 including VAT) as a perpetual license from Zynaptiq, with a fully functional 30-day free trial available.
Film and TV dialogue editors, broadcast engineers, podcast producers, and musicians who need to remove room reverb from recordings they cannot re-record.
