Writesonic is an AI search growth engine combining content generation, SEO automation, and GEO, helping brands get cited by ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity.
Founded in 2020 as an AI copywriting tool, Writesonic has repositioned around a new category it calls Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): tracking and improving brand visibility inside AI search engines. Its AI Search Loop runs a four-step cycle. Track where AI platforms ignore your brand, prioritize the biggest gaps, act with content and outreach agents, then prove the lift with Day 14 and Day 28 measurements of citation share, AI traffic, and pipeline.
The content engine remains strong. The AI Article Writer generates long-form SEO-optimized articles, the SEO suite covers keyword research, SEO checker, internal linking, and AI content grading, and Chatsonic offers multi-model AI chat with browsing. Botsonic builds no-code chatbots. With 5 million users and a 4.8-star rating from 10,133 reviews, Writesonic holds G2 and Capterra best-in-class badges. The platform is SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, and HIPAA compliant, hosted on Microsoft Azure, and trusted by Amazon, Unilever, and Acer.
Paid plans start at $49 per month ($39 annual) for Lite. Standard, Professional, and Advanced scale to $399 per month annually, with custom Enterprise. A free trial with limited usage covers article writing and SEO tools. Some content-only landing pages advertise free plans.
Brands and agencies focused on AI search visibility and SEO at scale. Marketing teams wanting content plus analytics in one platform. Solo bloggers may find it heavier than needed; Rytr or Writesonic’s simpler tiers suit them better.
