Traycer is a coordination layer for agentic coding that positions itself as the nerve center for teams working with AI coding agents. It adds AI planning, task tracking and agent-to-agent communication on top of whichever coding agent a developer already uses, from Claude Code and Codex to Cursor and OpenCode. The open-source repository from Traycer AI collects the project’s public components and has around 1,600 stars on GitHub, with development continuing actively in 2026.
As coding agents take on longer tasks, the bottleneck shifts from writing code to planning work, tracking who is doing what and keeping humans in control. Traycer addresses that layer: work is broken into tasks, agents pick them up in sessions, and progress is visible across desktop, VS Code, mobile and remote hosts. Because it is agent-agnostic and meters nothing on the free tier, developers bring their own agent and their own model access while Traycer handles orchestration and shared context for the team.
Traycer offers a generous free plan for individuals. The Sync plan for teams costs $16 per user per month billed yearly, and running models through Traycer or using cloud sandboxes is billed pay-as-you-go, so the product is Freemium.
