SolidGPT is an open-source “developer AI persona” search agent published on GitHub by AI-Citizen. The idea is to capture how a developer thinks and works: SolidGPT ingests material such as Notion pages and chat or documentation content, then builds an AI persona that can answer questions and share knowledge in that developer’s style. The repository has around 1,800 stars and its code was last updated in 2025.
Teams lose a lot of knowledge when a key developer is away or leaves. SolidGPT experiments with turning an individual’s written knowledge into a queryable agent: you feed it sources like Notion workspaces, and the resulting persona can respond to questions using that context, powered by GPT-4-class models. It sits somewhere between a personal knowledge base, a code-chat copilot and an AI digital twin for engineering teams.
Free. SolidGPT is open source (released under a Creative Commons Attribution license for the project materials); you self-host it and bring your own model API keys.
Engineering teams exploring AI knowledge sharing, developers who want a personal “ask my notes” agent, and researchers prototyping digital-twin and persona-agent concepts.
