PipesHub is an open-source context layer that connects the knowledge scattered across your company’s tools and makes it searchable for people and AI agents alike. It indexes content from Slack, Google Drive, Jira, GitHub, Microsoft 365 and more than 40 other connectors, then answers questions with citations while respecting each user’s permissions.
PipesHub is developed in the open on GitHub, where it has gathered about 3,840 stars, and it remains under very active development in 2026. The platform combines agentic RAG, hybrid search and a knowledge graph so that agents can search, grep, navigate and cite company knowledge instead of working from stale snapshots. It is fully self-hosted, exposes an MCP server and SDKs, and ships with built-in agents, so teams can plug their existing assistants into a permission-aware workspace without sending data to a third-party SaaS. Because the index is continuously synced from the connected systems, answers reflect the current state of documents, tickets and conversations rather than an outdated export, which matters for teams whose knowledge changes daily.
PipesHub is free and open source under the Apache-2.0 license. You host it on your own infrastructure and only pay for the servers and any LLM APIs you connect to it.
Engineering and IT teams that want enterprise search and agent context over their internal tools, but need the data to stay on their own infrastructure with strict access controls.
