Paperclip is an open-source app for managing teams of AI agents the way you would manage a company, with more than 105,000 stars on GitHub. If an agent like OpenClaw is an employee, Paperclip is the company it works for.
Paperclip is a Node.js server with a React dashboard that orchestrates agents from any provider toward shared business goals. Instead of juggling dozens of terminal sessions, you define a goal, “hire” a team — a CEO, CTO, engineers, designers, marketers, each potentially a different agent runtime — then approve the strategy, set budgets and monitor everything from one place. Work is organized through an agentic task manager where every task traces back through projects to the company mission, so agents always know what to do and why.
It is deliberately model- and runtime-agnostic: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenClaw, plain scripts and even HTTP endpoints can all join the same org chart, as long as they can receive a heartbeat. Agents wake on schedules or task assignments, delegate work up and down the chart, and pause automatically when budgets run out.
Paperclip is free and open source under the MIT license; you self-host it and no Paperclip account is required. A hosted Paperclip Cloud is in the works with a waitlist, but the complete app is available to run yourself at no cost.
Founders, operators and engineering teams running multiple AI agents in parallel who need budgets, accountability and a single dashboard instead of a screen full of unmanaged agent sessions.
