Orca is a free, open-source Agent Development Environment (ADE) for running a whole fleet of coding agents in parallel, with more than 100,000 stars on GitHub. Run Claude Code, Codex, Grok, OpenCode and other CLI agents side by side, each with your own subscriptions.
Traditional IDEs were built for one person typing; Orca is built for a person directing many agents at once. It is worktree-first: every agent gets its own isolated git worktree, so one agent can refactor authentication while another builds the API and a third works on the frontend, all on the same repository without conflicts. A Ghostty-class terminal with infinite splits, a built-in editor, an embedded browser and diff review keep the whole fleet visible and manageable from a single desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux.
Orca is agent-agnostic — if it runs in a terminal, it runs in Orca — and it tracks each agent’s status, usage and rate-limit resets across accounts. A mobile companion app for iOS and Android lets you monitor runs, get notified when an agent finishes, and send follow-ups from anywhere.
Orca is completely free and open source under the MIT license for macOS, Windows and Linux. You bring your own agent subscriptions; there is no Orca fee.
Developers and power users who run several coding agents at once and want worktree isolation, status tracking and review tooling in one place instead of a pile of terminal windows.
