Optio is a developer API and playground for typed AI decisions, built around the Jev model. Instead of returning free-form text, it answers bounded questions with a choice, a score or a yes-or-no probability, so code can branch on the result without parsing a paragraph.
Optio is designed for classification, routing, scoring and safety checks inside software. You send text or JSON as the shared state, together with up to eight questions, and receive typed answers with probabilities and confidence scores for each. That makes it suited to triage, intent detection, quality rubrics and content checks, where the answer must stay inside a set the developer defined. A browser playground lets you test calls without signup, and an agent skill adds the same decision layer to coding assistants such as Codex, Claude Code and Cursor. Optio states clearly that it is an independent product providing access to Jev and is not affiliated with or endorsed by TypeSafe, the owner of the Jev trademark.
The playground is free to try and new accounts receive 5 free credits; paid use is via one-time credit packs starting at $10, so Optio is freemium.
