Nomono is an AI-powered podcast recording platform from Norway that pairs portable recording kits with a cloud studio whose headline feature is one-tap AI Enhancement: record anywhere, press one button, and the audio comes back clean, balanced and ready to publish.
Founded in 2019 as a spinoff from SINTEF, one of Europe’s largest research institutes, Nomono set out to remove the technical barrier between a conversation and a professional-sounding episode. Its two recording kits — the Sound Capsule, a portable spatial-audio studio for up to four people, and the clip-on Stellar Kit for solo and two-person recording — capture every voice on its own track and sync automatically to Nomono Studio Cloud. There, the company’s Intelligent Signal Processing separates foreground dialogue from the background environment, delivering studio-quality sound without a studio, an engineer, or a complicated setup.
Nomono is sold as subscription bundles that include the hardware: Professional at $29/month includes the Stellar Kit and 12 months of Studio Cloud; Premium at $99/month includes the Sound Capsule for multi-person and immersive recording. The Sound Capsule has also been sold standalone at $2,490.
Podcasters, broadcasters, media teams and educators who record conversations in the field, in offices or on the road — and want an AI to handle the cleanup and leveling work that normally requires an audio engineer.
