Luvus is an open-source terminal workspace — mission control for your AI coding agents — with 979 stars on GitHub and daily development activity in 2026.
Luvus is a Rust-built terminal multiplexer designed specifically for people who run several AI coding agents at once. Instead of juggling loose terminal windows, you get persistent workspaces where Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Kimi and other coding agents run side by side in panes and tabs. A background server keeps tabs, panes, layouts, terminal state and named sessions alive, so you can detach and come back without losing your place. Luvus watches the agents it hosts and reports whether each one is blocked, working, done or idle, giving you a single control room for parallel agent work instead of a pile of forgotten shells. Because sessions live in the background server rather than in your terminal window, closing a laptop lid or dropping a connection does not kill the agents working inside, and you can reattach later to find every pane exactly where you left it.
Luvus is free and open source under the Apache-2.0 license. There is no paid tier and no account; you install it from crates.io or GitHub releases and run it locally.
Luvus is for developers who run multiple AI coding agents in parallel and want one organised workspace instead of terminal chaos. If you supervise several agents across projects and need to see at a glance which one needs your input, Luvus was built for exactly that workflow.
