Codev is an app-building platform designed for the AI agent you already use: it gives agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex the ability to turn an idea into a deployed, full-stack app with hosting and a custom domain.
Codev’s workflow starts with a single copied prompt. You paste it into your existing AI coding agent, describe the app you want in your own words, and the agent builds it while Codev provides the surrounding platform: the app itself, its backend with saved data and sign-in, hosting, and deployment. Because the build runs through the AI plan you already pay for, Codev presents itself as a much cheaper route than builders that meter their own model usage. Apps launch on a Codev link first, and you can then connect a domain you own, with HTTPS certificates handled automatically. The build–publish–repeat loop is meant to keep the whole journey, from first prompt to the next version, inside one continuous flow.
The model keeps the intelligence in the agent the user already trusts and pays for, while Codev supplies the repetitive platform work — provisioning the backend, wiring sign-in and data storage, and getting the app reachable on the web — that agents cannot do on their own.
Codev is freemium: you can start building for free, and paid plans expand what you can ship and host. Building itself runs on the AI plan you already have with your agent provider.
Codev is for developers and AI-assisted builders who already work with coding agents and want the missing platform layer — backend, hosting, and domains — without leaving that workflow. It is also useful for non-developers who have adopted a coding agent and want to ship what it builds.
