AnythingMCP is an open-source, self-hosted MCP gateway that turns existing business APIs into tools for AI assistants, without writing an MCP server for each one. Published on GitHub with about 770 stars under the AGPL-3.0 license and updated in October 2026, it ships with hundreds of ready-made connectors for enterprise systems.
Any REST/OpenAPI, GraphQL, SOAP, OData, or SQL system can be exposed through AnythingMCP as Model Context Protocol tools that assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot can call. The gateway includes 517 ready connectors — among them SAP, Etsy, weclapp, and Amazon Seller — and 23 of them need no API key at all. For organizational use it adds role-based access control, single sign-on, audit logs, and a knowledge graph over connected systems. It runs via Docker Compose on your own infrastructure.
Deployment is intentionally undemanding: the quickstart runs through Docker Compose, requiring Docker 24 or later and OpenSSL to generate local secrets, with no need to clone the repository. Documentation and per-connector guides explain how to connect specific business systems and how access rules are applied, and a cloud edition is offered for teams that would rather not operate the gateway themselves — the 7-day trial makes it possible to evaluate the hosted route before committing to either model.
