UniFi MCP is an open-source set of MCP servers that lets AI agents manage your UniFi network, cameras and door access, with 934 stars on GitHub.
UniFi MCP connects AI agents and agentic workflows to the Ubiquiti UniFi suite through the Model Context Protocol. Instead of clicking through the UniFi controller, you can let an assistant inspect devices, check camera events or review access logs by calling structured tools. The project ships three servers: UniFi Network, with 210 tools and stable status; UniFi Protect, with 63 tools for cameras and recordings; and UniFi Access, with 37 tools for doors and credentials. A shared Graph API layer sits underneath, and installable plugins are available through the Claude Code, Codex and OpenClaw marketplaces, so setup inside popular agent environments takes minutes rather than custom integration work. The servers and their tool counts are documented in the repository, and the project is under active development, with releases continuing through 2026.
UniFi MCP is free and open source under the MIT license. You run the servers yourself and connect them to your own UniFi controller; there is no subscription, though you will need UniFi hardware and an MCP-capable AI client to use it.
UniFi MCP is for network administrators, homelab enthusiasts and IT teams running UniFi gear who want to manage it through AI assistants. It is especially handy for quick inspections โ asking an agent to summarise device health, camera activity or access events โ without opening the controller UI.
