Overview

The tool accepts TXT, EPUB, DOCX, and PDF files (with optional MOBI support) and rebuilds the translated book in the same format. Version 2 rebuilt the original single-file script into a proper package with a real command-line interface. Translation can run through the OpenAI or Azure APIs, any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, or local AI coding CLIs such as Codex, Claude Code, and Gemini CLI using your existing subscriptions. A resume-safe SQLite cache stores finished chunks, so an interrupted overnight run can pick up where it left off instead of starting over. For very long books, a manifest tracks exactly which chunks are done, so progress is visible and verifiable at any point in the run. There are no subscriptions or per-book fees from the tool itself.
