EasyAnimate is an open-source, end-to-end pipeline with 2,200+ stars on GitHub for generating high-resolution, long AI videos with transformer diffusion models — and for training the models behind them.
Developed by Alibaba’s PAI team, EasyAnimate covers the whole text-to-video workflow in one repository. At its core is a Diffusion Transformer (DiT) generator that can produce videos of roughly six seconds at various resolutions directly from pretrained models, alongside the supporting machinery most projects leave to you: VAEs adapted for processing long videos, metadata preprocessing for training data, and training support for both baseline models and LoRA adaptations. That makes it useful in both directions — generate videos today from the model zoo, or fine-tune and train your own variants on your own footage. The project is documented in English, Chinese and Japanese, has an accompanying arXiv paper, and offers hosted demos on ModelScope Studio and Hugging Face Spaces so you can try generation before committing GPU time. It was last updated in 2025 under the Apache License 2.0.
EasyAnimate is free and open source under the Apache License 2.0. You run generation and training on your own GPUs; the hosted demos are free to try, and there is no paid tier for the software.
