Life Note is an AI journaling app for iPhone, Android, and the web that pairs each journal entry with a reply from an AI mentor modelled on one of history’s great minds. Users write about their day, and a mentor grounded in the actual writings of Carl Jung, Marcus Aurelius, Maya Angelou, Steve Jobs, or 1,000+ other historical figures writes back — remembering earlier entries, so guidance builds on the user’s own journey.
Each mentor is grounded in their real works and words across 20+ disciplines, from philosophy and psychology to entrepreneurship and the arts, and every reply can be traced back to its original source text. Users can pick a mentor, switch at any time, get multiple mentors’ perspectives on the same entry, or let Life Note match a mentor to what they are going through. Beyond the replies themselves, the app analyses entries over time: a “Connect the Dots” feature links today’s entry to past reflections to surface recurring patterns, an emotion weather map tracks feelings, and a weekly letter summarises the week. A weekly “Inner Portrait” turns the week’s entries into personalized artwork, and users can chat with their past entries to surface patterns. Privacy is a headline feature: entries are end-to-end encrypted with AES-GCM, the app can be locked with a PIN, fingerprint, or face, and the journal can be exported or connected via MCP to ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
Life Note is Freemium. Journaling with mentors is free, and writing three entries in a week unlocks the Weekly Letter and Inner Portrait. A Premium tier provides the deepest, most personalized experience.
Life Note is for people building a daily journaling habit who want more than a blank page — reflective writers, therapy clients between sessions, and anyone who wants structured, wisdom-grounded feedback on their thoughts and patterns.
