SheetMagic is a Google Sheets add-on that combines an AI chat agent with 64 custom formulas for AI generation and web scraping. Users describe the job in plain English — or drag a formula like =AITEXT() down a thousand rows — and the sheet fills itself with text, leads, search results and scraped data.
The add-on works in two ways. The Chat Agent lives in a sidebar, reads the sheet and acts on it through 93 tools: it writes cells and formulas, sorts, dedupes, formats, builds charts and pivot tables, scrapes the web, and generates images and speech. Alongside it, 64 custom functions behave like ordinary formulas — reference a cell, drag down, and every row runs. Forty-three of them are platform scrapers covering YouTube, Amazon, LinkedIn, Zillow and more; others fetch any URL or search Google, Maps, news and shopping; and eight AI functions handle text generation, lists, translation, image, vision, speech and video tasks. A dedicated FINDLEADS formula returns named contacts with company and email from job title, location and industry inputs. Users can pick models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Perplexity or OpenRouter, and bring their own API key on paid plans. SheetMagic reports more than 6,300 users and 3.7 million AI requests processed.
SheetMagic is freemium. The Free plan is a one-time allowance — 100 scraping credits and 20,000 AI tokens — with no card and no expiry, and it includes the Chat Agent and all 64 formulas. Solo costs $20/month (1 license), Growth $80/month (5 licenses) and Scale $200/month (15 licenses), with discounts for quarterly and yearly billing; paid allowances refill monthly.
SheetMagic is aimed at marketers, SEO professionals, sales and operations users who live in Google Sheets and want lead lists, scraped data and AI-written content without leaving the spreadsheet or learning a separate automation platform.
