Deductive AI is an AI site reliability engineering agent that investigates production incidents the way an experienced engineer would — gathering evidence, forming hypotheses, and testing them against a knowledge graph of your codebase and telemetry.
Deductive AI was founded by veterans of Databricks and ThoughtSpot and launched publicly in November 2025. Its agents connect to an organization’s code, logs, metrics, traces, and events, and reason over a continuously updated knowledge graph that maps relationships across the system. During an incident, the agent generates hypotheses, evaluates the evidence for each, and surfaces a precise root cause together with remediation guidance. A reinforcement-learning harness makes the investigation engine improve with use: paths that lead to useful evidence and successful outcomes are reinforced, so each investigation makes the next one faster. The company reported cutting incident resolution and root-cause time by up to 90 percent. In 2026, Deductive AI was acquired by Elastic, and its technology is being integrated into Elastic Observability, with existing customers continuing to be supported.
Launch customers named by the company included engineering organizations such as DoorDash’s ads platform and Foursquare, where the agents took on production investigations that previously consumed senior engineers’ on-call hours.
Deductive AI does not publish list pricing. Access has been arranged through demo bookings with the team, and the product continues under Elastic following its acquisition.
Deductive AI is aimed at fast-moving engineering and SRE teams at companies with complex, distributed systems that want incident investigation automated from detection through root cause and remediation. It also fits Elastic Observability users, who will meet the technology inside that platform.
