Enchanted is an open-source iOS and macOS app for chatting with private, self-hosted language models through Ollama. It has collected about 6,000 stars on GitHub, is licensed under Apache-2.0, and remains in active development with updates in 2026.
Enchanted gives locally hosted models such as Llama, Mistral and Vicuna a polished native Apple-platform interface. Instead of chatting through a terminal or a generic web page, you get a Swift-built app designed for iPhone, iPad and Mac that connects to your Ollama server, whether it runs on the same device or on a machine on your network.
